Description
Plasticizer DOTP is a predominantly linear phthalate plasticizer based upon C7 and C9 alcohols. The ratio of these alcohols and their degree of linearity provide excellent processing characteristics, superior plastisol rheology and improved product flexibility under low temperature conditions when compared to DOP, DINP and DOTP in vinyl resins.
Applications
(DOTP is dioctyl terephthalate, it is a main plasticizer. It offers good cooling and heat resistance, it can be used as plasticizer of PVC and PE cable, it can work with DOP in any ratio. It also can reduce viscosity and increase keeping life.)
Plasticizer DOTP is a general purpose phthalate plasticizer and can replace DOP, DOTP and DINP in most applications;it can also replace general purpose blends that contain these plasticizers. Plasticizer DOTP exhibits better efficiency and imparts lower temperature flexibility than the above mentioned plasticizers.
It is particularly useful in plastisol applications because it imparts lower initial viscosity, better viscosity and stability than branched plasticizers.
